Don’t know where to start in your child’s reading development? That’s okay! That’s why you are here today.

WHAT I DO

Student Literacy Coach

I provide individualized reading instruction (in-person & online) for struggling readers or readers who are slightly below grade level. My goal is to have your child become more confident in their reading abilities and have the skills they need to succeed in the classroom. This research based approach is designed to close any academic gaps and transform your child into a capable reader.

Parent Literacy Coach

Do you want to help your child read at home and don’t know where to start? If your child is not meeting benchmarks in reading, don’t think, “They’ll catch up eventually, I’ll just have them read more books at home.” Instead, you should think, “What’s causing them to struggle? How can I help them in a more systematic and explicit way?” I provide parents the knowledge and tools they need to teach their child how to read. After weekly meetings, my goal is for you to become more confident in your ability to teach your child how to read.

My Process

  • 1. Intake Call

This intake call is a time to learn about you and your child, and the concerns you may have. I will explain my process and answer any questions you have. Once this call has ended and you decide to continue, I will send you a questionnaire to get more information.

  • 2. Assessment

If you decide to continue after the intake call, we will schedule an individualized assessment. This assessment will be a baseline of where to start in the intervention program. It will also give me an insight into what skills your child excels at and what skills they need more support with.

  • 3. Parent Meeting

After the assessment, we will schedule a time to review the assessment and discuss the results. During this meeting, I will outline recommended next steps and provide you with a roadmap of further support.

  • 4. Interventions

After the parent meeting, in-person interventions will take place. Structured and systematic lessons will take place on a weekly basis for as long as needed.
